(2) Pass a test administered by a designated language testing agency to obtain proof of language proficiency in the applicant's field of work, meeting the minimum requirements for listening, speaking, reading and writing in English. The expected minimum requirement is that the applicant must pass the Canadian Language Standards (CLB / NCLC) Level 5.

(3) Have worked for 24 months within the last 5 years, with work experience accrued from the time of obtaining a pass/qualification in the country of origin. And have been working in the field recently;

(4) Meet the employment eligibility requirements of the National Occupational List, showing that they are capable of performing the job in question.

Federal skilled immigrants are subject to a scoring system, with six factors such as educational background, work experience, age, language, availability of work placement, and adaptability to Canada, etc. The total score is 100 points, and the federal skilled immigrant pass mark is 67 points.
